About Rotaract District 7020
Out of 529 districts around the world, District 7020 consists of 10 countries speaking three languages with over 50 clubs and more than 900 Rotaractors. These countries include:

The first chartered club in District 7020 was the Rotaract Club of Kingston, chartered in June 1969, one year after Rotaract was introduced globally. Since then Rotaract has experienced phenomenal growth throughout the world.
The concept of a District structure was introduced to Rotaract by Rotarian Paul Brown in 1998 when he saw that the young professional arm of Rotary was growing.
Membership Retention & Growth
- Appointment of a District 7020 Rotaract Membership Committee
- Provide resources based on best practices for membership retention and recruitment.
- Considerable emphasis in DRR Awards Guide on membership retention aspect.
Leadership Development
- Encourage clubs to provide training opportunities to develop their members to assume leadership roles in their vocation, club and district level.
- District to also support this objective through implementing training opportunities in a collaborative effort with District 7030 and Rotary.
Transition in Rotary
- Increase the percentage of Interactors transitioning to Rotaract and Rotaractors transitioning to Rotary.
- Encourage Rotaract Clubs and Rotary Clubs to include an Interactor and Rotaractor on club committees
- Continue the Meet and Mentor Program – The “Mile” Way
- Foster and encourage stronger relationships between Rotary and Rotaract Clubs
- Foster and encourage stronger communication system between Rotary and Rotaract clubs
Communication
- Ensure that communication from a district level straight down to prospective members is transparent and efficient.
- provide clubs with the information needed to bring a greater awareness of the organization
- provide information in both English and French so that all nationalities in the district are included and informed
- Maintain regular communication with Presidents and ensure the District Board presence at meeting and club events.
Whether a Rotaract Club is Small or large, when operating under the Rotaract brand, we will have to engage in Unity and while doing so, strive to make an impact. After-all, making a lasting impact in our communities through sustainable local and international communities service projects. The 2019/2020 hashtags serves as reminders that in Rotaract always have to be impactful, helpful and operate with unity and dignity.
