Happy 2020, Rotaractors!

Not only is it a new year, but a new decade! We have certainly come a far way from where we were in 2010, and when you think about all our District and Rotary International have done in the past ten years, it should make you proud to be a part of this amazing organization.

I am thrilled with the great work we’ve accomplished in 2019. Two quarters of the Rotaract year down and two more to go, which means we’re halfway there! And more than halfway to this year’s joint Rotaract District conference!

As we venture into the new year and take on new challenges and stick to those new year resolutions, I encourage you to also remember the goals and commitments to your club that you set when the Rotaract year began. Too often, as we get bogged down in our daily lives, we can get sidetracked and lose focus on these goals, but right now is a great time to get back to work on meeting these targets.

January is also Vocational Services Month, which allows us to think about how the work we do, both professionally and otherwise, serves not just ourselves and our own goals, but society at large. Each Rotaractor, no matter your job description, is capable of contributing to the development of their community through your work.

Clubs can use this month as a chance to showcase the wonderful ways that members are using their careers and talents to help their communities, so that it may inspire others to do the same. Continue working hard, supporting your team and leaders, and chasing those goals you want to accomplish. I look forward to seeing them come to fruition in 2020.

Have a wonderful January and a Happy New Year!

Yours in Rotaract,

Clayton Bromley
